Sabre Nawfal is 23 months old child living with his family as refugees in Syria. The child suffers from multiple medical problems to include bilateral cataract that are precluding proper vision. The child has his left eye cared for a few months ago but needs an urgent surgery to save his right eye.
The family had asked to the Assyrian Medical Society-the Medical Relief Project its assistance since this is a financial burden for them.
The medical Relief Project has secured the funds necessary for the surgery of the right eye (23,500 SL) that was delivered to the family. The surgery was successfully performed on 4/24/09.
