Zabel is a 54 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria diagnosed with large incisional abdominal hernia causing pain and discomfort.

The patient was referred to the Assyrian Medical Society by the AAS-S. The Medical Relief Project of the AMS has approved her care in Syria at a cost of (45, 000, 00 SL). Repair of incisional hernia with the use of mesh was successfully performed and the patient is currently recovering at home.
