Younan is a 64 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria who has been complaining of abdominal pain secondary to an umbilical hernia, for which he was advised to undergo a surgical repair. The patient was referred to Assyrian Medical Society by AAS-Syria.

The Medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society has approved the care in Syria. The procedure was completed successfully and the patient is recovering at home.
