Story:

Sargon is a 19 years old child with cerebral palsy, with three other siblings and his mothers have made it to the United States only last year after they were accepted as refugees. The father was killed after insurgents in Basrah, Iraq had fired at his car.

The child had no proper care in Iraq and has been bed-ridden since.

The patient was referred to the Assyrian medical Society and through Medical Relief Project, collaboration was established with United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), and Wheels for Humanity. The child in the process of being evaluated by multidisciplinary team for proper rehabilitation and to be provided with advanced wheel chair that will give him mobility and some improvement in the quality of his life.
