Salwa is 32 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria who was pregnant with a twin. She was admitted to the hospital in Syria for emergent cesarean section at her 7 months of pregnancy. The premature babies were kept in a neonatal unit for two weeks before they were discharged.

The patient was referred to the Assyrian Medical Society by the AAS-Syria.
The Medical Relief Project of the AMS approved the remaining 30% of the cost. 40% was covered by the Syrian Red Crescent, 30% is covered by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in Syria.

The mother is recovering as expected and the twins thriving well.
