Story:
Rawan is a 2 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria who was born with congenital dislocation of the hips. She required surgical intervention after failure of non-operative management.
The patient was referred to the Assyrian Medical Society by the AAS-S. The Medical Relief Project of the AMS has approved her care in Syria at a cost of (45, 000,00 SL). The surgery was performed successfully and was discharged home after 3 days. She is currently in body cast for a projected time of 8-10 weeks.
