Nuhad  is a 47 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria with chronic left leg pain after open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of a fracture in the past. She was advised to have the hardware removed at a local hospital.

The patient was referred to us by AAS-Syria. The Medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society has approved her care. The proposed surgery was successfully completed at a local hospital in Syria at a cost of (25,000 SL). She is expected to make a full recovery.
