Marganita is a 65 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria who was recently diagnosed with a gynecological tumor for which she needed abdominal exploration.

The patient was referred to Assyrian Medical Society by AAS-Syria. In a collaborative effort, the Medical Relief Project of the  Assyrian Medical Society has approved its portion of the care cost. The patient underwent Total abdominal hysterectomy and salpingo-oophorectomy in January 2010. She is currently recuperating and is undergoing chemotherapy.
