Khanna is a 62 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria with multinodular goiter. She was seen by a surgeon who recommended a subtotal thyroidectomy.

The patient was referred to us by AAS-Syria. The Medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society has approved her care. The proposed surgery was  successfully completed at a local hospital in Syria at a cost of (20,000 SL). The patient has recovered since.
