Khalida is a 46 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria suffering from repeated attacks of right upper quadrant pain that was diagnosed with symptomatic cholelithiasis. She was advised to undergo laparoscopic cholecystectomy at a local hospital.

The patient was referred to us by AAS-Syria. The Medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society has approved her care. The proposed surgery was successfully completed at a local hospital in Syria at a cost of (26,000 SL). She is expected to make a full recovery.
