Khalid is a young Iraqi refugee in Syria who was taken to a local hospital in Syria for perianal pain secondary to a thrombosed external piles.

The patient was referred to us by AAS-Syria. The Medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society has approved his care. The proposed surgery ( hemorrhoidectomy) was  successfully completed at a local hospital in Syria at a cost of (8,500 SL).  he is expected to make a full recovery.
