Iman  is a 47 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria with acute right upper quadrant pain for which she was taken to a local hospital in Syria. She was diagnosed with acute cholecystitis requiring laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

The patient was referred to us by AAS-Syria. The Medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society has approved her care. The proposed surgery was successfully completed at a local hospital in Syria at a cost of (25,000 SL). She is expected to make a full recovery.
