Ewan is an Iraqi refugee in Syria who has been complaining of recurrent infections due to umbilical fistula. The patient approached the AAS-Syria for help.

AAS-Syria referred the patient to the Assyrian Medical Society for help. The medical Relief Project has approved his care at a local surgical hospital where umbilical fistulectomy was successfully performed at a cost of (18,000 SL). The patient is reported in good condition.
