Story:

Ashour is a 32 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria with recurrent flank pain and hematuria. The patient was evaluated by a urologist and was diagnosed with a radiolucent kidney stone. He was advised to undergo intravenous pyelogram to be followed by Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy.

The patient was referred to us by AAS-Syria. The Medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society has approved his care. The proposed procedures were  successfully completed at a local hospital in Syria at a cost of (22,000 SL). The patient has recovered since.
