Abed is a 27 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria who was diagnosed with a torn knee cartilage causing knee pain and knee locking. He was advised to undergo knee laparoscopy and debridement of the cartilage.

The patient was referred to Assyrian Medical Society by the AAS-Syria. The Medical Relief Project of the AMS has approved his care in Syria. The procedure was completed successfully and the patient is reported to be recovering in good condition.
